  1. The Dahlak Archipelago is a collection of islands in the Red Sea near Massawa, Eritrea. It is made up of two main and 124 tiny islands. The archipelago's pearl fisheries have been famous since Roman times and continue to produce a significant amount of pearls.

Disei is one of the most beautiful islands in Eritrea's Semenawi Keyih Bahri region, with a picturesque environment and a wealth of attractions. Although it is one of several beautiful islands that make up the Dahlak Archipelago, it is the only hilly island.

If you enjoy mountain climbing or have a specific fondness for rocks, then seeing the Disei Island should be your top priority. The majority of the island's mountains are composed of gneiss and other crystalline rocks. The island also acts as a tranquil, romantic hideaway for honeymooners, thanks to its many clean, sandy beaches.

  2. Next on our list of Eritrea's most beautiful islands, is Dahlak Kebir. Dahlak Kebir, located in the Red Sea off the coast of Eritrea, is the largest island in the Dahlak Archipelago and the most popular tourist attraction in this region of Africa. It has a beautiful beach and rugged terrain with a Y-shaped blotch or rock.

Visitors come to discover the island's greenery and wild creatures, such as the Soemmerring's gazelle. Because of its proximity to the mouth of the Red Sea, the island has many pristine beaches that are popular with honeymooners and tourists from all over the world.

Dahlak Kebir also provides you an opportunity to see Afar fishing communities as well as old Turkish and Islamic sites. The hundreds of years old Arab inscriptions, monumental cisterns, and 360 wells are vital living historical traces, demonstrating the high level of historical development that occurred in Dahlak Kebir.

  3. Green Island is one of Eritrea's most picturesque islands, located in the Red Sea just a few minutes drive from Massawa. If you want to get away from the rush and bustle of the city, this is a great area to visit for a romantic vacation and amazing sightseeing.

One of Green Island's highlight attractions is its immaculate sandy beaches, which are always bustling with visitors and thrill-seekers. Water sports enthusiasts and beachgoers go here to snorkel and scuba dive in the calm, turquoise seas. You can also take images of the breathtaking shoreline to remember it.

It's no Bora Bora, but it can make an ideal escape if you need some peace and a spot to rest your tired feet from sightseeing. Grand Hotel Dahlak organizes day trips to the island or inquires around for local guide Tesfieh, who can arrange transportation and snorkeling equipment.

    Nora

Nora, the second-largest island in the Dahlak Archipelago and one of three inhabited islands, with an area of around 105.15 square kilometers (40.61 square miles) on the Red Sea. It is flanked by wonderful sandy beaches and is covered in a thick, green forest, making it a favorite location for nature lovers and water sport enthusiasts.

Nora's a lovely area to spend time with family or, if you're newlyweds, to have an uninterrupted honeymoon. With a gorgeous tropical forest, this is one of the most picturesque islands for a film shoot. The islands are home to a variety of marine life and seabirds. It is another reason that makes Nora one of the most beautiful islands in Eritrea.

Like other islands in the Dahlak Archipelago, Nora's residents speak Dahlik and live a traditional lifestyle that includes fishing and herding goats and camels. The islands are accessible by boat from Massawa.

    Madote

When you enjoy a quiet, serene journey on one of Eritrea's beautiful islands – Madote – you may explore its spectacular coral reef and bright coast. This little island is part of the Dahlak Archipelago and is mostly covered in sand. It also has some of the most beautiful beaches in the vicinity, as well as a diversity of water species such as hermit crabs.

The Madote island takes its name from an island in Eritrea, located off the coast of the Dahlak Archipelago. Aside from the breathtaking vistas, there are also wonderful areas on the beaches where you can relax and enjoy a family picnic or take pictures. But note that Madote is just a sandbank inhabited by seagulls and grass. Swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, wandering through the warm sea, or relaxing on the sandy beach are all options. The "island" is so little that it can't even be seen on Google Maps.
