Donatella Versace
Donatella Versace was born on May 2, 1955, in Reggio di Calabria, Italy, as the youngest of four children. Her parents were a financier and a dressmaker, both of whom catered to the Italian elite. Donatella was very close to her brother Giovanni "Gianni" Versace and frequently served as his inspiration, wearing garments designed exclusively for her.
Following her brother's death, Donatella rose to the position of Vice President of the Versace Group and Chief Designer of Versace. She now manages a dozen collections per year. Donatella Versace's influence has enlarged the Versace Group to encompass Palazzo Versace. This is a luxury hotel chain featuring properties in Australia and Dubai, as well as perfume brands.
Along with self-identification as an icon, the world has recognized it. Proof that Donatella Versace has inspired songs by musicians such as Lady Gaga, Migos, and Bruno Mars... Etsy has also offered handmade Donatella dolls, as well as many T-shirts and phone cases, and book covers or badges with her face. Always present with her signature platinum-white hair, bold eyeliner, and heels, Donatella presents herself as the brand's high-octane blend of glamor, sharpness, and sex appeal. Since she was her brother's muse, she has gradually become a powerful figure in the global fashion industry.
