Dubkalni quarry reservoir

The Dubkalni quarry reservoir is located in the "Ogres Zilie kalni" (map) natural park, and there is a diving platform next to the stairs. The reservoir is 12.7 hectares in size. The water in Dubkalni Reservoir is clear and pristine, making it perfect for diving. Dubkalni quarry reservoir is considered to be one of the Best Diving Sites in Latvia.

There are five picnic areas with benches, tables, and fire pits near Dubkalni quarry reservoir. When active activity at the previous gravel quarry ceased, a reservoir emerged. The average depth is 2.5 meters, with a high of 7.0 meters. There are nice resting areas built around the reservoir, and it is a favourite swimming spot for residents.

Because the lake is not too deep, this place is suitable for even amateur scuba divers. Dive to the bottom where you can find coral reefs and various exotic fish.You can park your car at the local car park right by the lake. In addition, there are restaurants serving all-night dining.
