DuPont de Nemours and Company, Inc., or simply DuPont, is an American corporation created by the August 31, 2017 merger of Dow Chemical and DuPont, as well as the subsequent spin-off of Dow Inc. and Corteva. Prior to the split, it was the largest chemical corporation in the world in terms of revenue. The corporation was separated into three public companies with a focus on agriculture, materials research, and speciality goods within 18 months of the merger. Corteva was the name of the agriculture division, Dow Inc. was the name of the materials science division, and DuPont was the name of the specialized goods business. The company's executive chairman is Jeff Fettig, and its CEO is Edward Breen. The deal was estimated to be worth $130 billion. DowDuPont is ranked 35th on the 2019 Fortune 500 list of the biggest public firms in the United States, with total sales of $86 billion in 2018.
