Dutch

Dutch is the Lagoon Company's boss. He presents himself as a former American combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He is the PT bat Black Lagoon's owner and skipper.

He is an African-American man who stands about 2 meters tall and has a lot of muscle. Dutch has brown eyes, an almost full black circle beard, and a shaved upper lip. He is fully bald and looks to be in his 30s.

Dutch tended to avoid the fighting surrounding the Lagoon Company's operations. Instead, he issues directives and strikes deals with customers, often Balalaika of the Hotel Moscow. However, if necessary, Dutch is a very skilled fighter.

He has a cool, laid-back demeanor and, most of the time, is pretty amiable. Additionally, he serves as Rock's mentor in this scene. The Lagoon Company's chief executive and chief negotiator is Dutch. He has a great deal of common sense and is dedicated to finishing tasks.

Dutch is also quite practical. He denies Revy for taking out her fury on people during the group's attack on the neo-Nazi ship and even compares her to serial killer Charles Whitman. Dutch is the most composed member of the group.

While Revy tends to overreact and act violently, and Rock tends to go crazy, Dutch maintains his composure under pressure. The entire Lagoon Company respects Dutch; when the occasion demands it, he can even restrain Revy.
