Dzongu
Yet untouched by commercialization, located in North Sikkim, Dzongu is a reserved territory for Sikkim’s native population – the Lepchas. Since 1960, when Sikkim was still a place ruled by Chogyal Palden Namgyal, Dzongu was designated as a special territory. The place looks exactly like a painting of a small house beside a flowing river along with a mountain as the backdrop. There are innumerable quaint villages spread across the region. Dzongu is one of the best romantic destinations in Sikkim. It is a hidden gem of Sikkim and you need to get a permit to enter the region.
Staying in a homestay in any of the villages, and eating the local foods of Dzongu could be one of your best memories if you want to spend your beautiful days in peace and tranquillity. You can go for a village walk in the villages of Tingvong, Passingdang, and Lingdong and discover the culture of the Lepchas. Dzongu could give you and your loved one the best honeymoon memories that will be memorable for life.
