Eger – A town with a bloody history and blood-red wine
Eger, situated on the Eger River, is one of the top tourist attractions in Hungary. Eger is a delight to wander around because it is full of beautiful old baroque buildings. There are some fantastic museums and exhibitions in the hilltop castle complex that provide an interesting look at the Turkish siege and occupation of the city.
