El Tunco Beach

El Tunco Beach is a surfer's paradise and a favorite backpacker and budget tourist location. This beautiful beach is one of El Salvador's best surfing spots and a key component of the Salvadoran Surf City concept. This surf community, which has just two streets, is known for its outstanding surfing, stunning sunsets, and weekend parties.

El Tunco Beach is a small beach village in El Salvador's La Libertad province. It's roughly 45 kilometers from San Salvador, the country's capital, and 40 kilometers from the international airport. El Tunco Beach is a popular location for international surfers, and the number of foreign surfers visiting El Tunco increases year after year. Furthermore, the beach will become even more popular in 2019 with the debut of Surf City. Keep in mind that El Tunco is a small surf town while planning your vacation. El Tunco Beach is not as beautiful as Costa del Sol or El Cuco Beach, with smooth sand and lengthy shorelines. It is a black sand beach with dull grey boulders that move with the tide instead.
