Elizabeth Farm
Elizabeth Farm is still one of the most beautiful historical sites in Australia among visitors. Elizabeth Farm was the family home of John and Elizabeth Macarthur, a wool pioneer and young military marriage.
It is one of Australia's oldest residences, surrounded by orchards and 1,000 acres of semi-cleared ground. This historical property is classified as a museum and comprises a colonial cottage with a veranda and a garden reminiscent of those found in the 1830s.
While Elizabeth Farm witnessed many events as the British colony evolved in Australia, the owners were also instrumental in the establishment of the country's wool industry.
