Hyde Park Barracks
Another must-see, well-known Australia Historical site is Hyde Park Barracks, a historic barracks that has been converted into a cutting-edge museum. During the early 1800s, European authorities used it as a hospital, convict lodging, and courthouse.
Another of the 11 outstanding prisoner sites is designated as World Heritage by UNESCO. This barrack, along with a few other earliest structures that have remained, has witnessed the changing character of Sydney, from convict beginnings through different landmark judgments, and it is one of Australia's top historical places.
The facility was closed in January 2019 for restoration work in order to restore the barrack into a world-class museum. It is slated to reopen on February 21, 2020, for tourists to immerse themselves in an experience unlike any other.
