English for Career Development
Welcome to English for Career Development, a course developed by the University of Pennsylvania and financed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Office of English Language Programs, of the United States Department of State.
This course is intended for non-native English speakers who want to advance their professions in the global economy. This course will teach you about the job search, application, and interview processes in the United States, as well as how they differ from those in your native country. This course will also allow you to explore your worldwide job options while increasing your vocabulary and language abilities in order to attain your professional objectives.
The first lesson of this course will cover the job application procedure in the United States as well as tactics for finding employment that match your interests and talents. The second unit will walk you through the processes to creating a professional-looking résumé. Unit 3 will focus on creating a clear and succinct cover letter. The course's last unit focuses on networking and interviewing abilities.
