Epimediums

Epimediums are a type of flower that is known for many different names. Some countries call it "fairy wings", others call it "bishop's cap", while a few places refer to it as "horny goat weed" (this is our favorite name!)

While other types of flowers on this list are mainly known for their beauty, Epimediums thrive in Asia countries due to their functions as herbal medications. Indeed, many clinics and hospitals use it to boost androgen hormones and increase sexual desire, sexual dysfunction, and vitality for their clients. According to reports, this usage was discovered when a farmer saw that the goats grazing on Epimediums were much more promiscuous.

But that does not mean that people do not admire Epimediums for their beauty; in fact, some gardeners also like to acquire these flowers for their colorful gardens as well, since they can bloom all year round. While Epimediums can still grow in dry areas, they will thrive best in light shade with organic and moisture-retentive soil.
