Fairbanks B.E.S.T.
The next online high school is Fairbanks Building Educational Success Together (B.E.S.T.). At this school, parents are mostly in charge of overseeing their children's education. BEST is dedicated to an approach wherein the community recognizes the home as a respectable substitute for traditional educational settings.
A non-sectarian collaboration, B.E.S.T. brings together children, parents, community members, and professional staff to collaborate in creating a personalized education for each child.
Fairbanks B.E.S.T. provides tailored choices to match the specific objectives and interests of families while promoting student success. A qualified education specialist who understands different curricula, courses, resources, and learning styles in addition to BEST regulations and FNSBSD standards will be assigned to each student.
Pupils in grades K–12 will be given allotment to spend on instructional resources that meet the requirements of Alaska State Standards and their individual learning plans (ILPs). Only students who enroll before October 1st of the current academic year are eligible for the allotment.
Under district/state policies, and Fairbanks B.E.S.T., all students shall be permitted to take part in extracurricular activities such as music, sports, and other extracurricular programs at the schools where they attend. With permission from the principal, students will be able to enroll in a maximum of two classes at the school where they now attend.
