Fairfax Christian School

Fairfax Christian School is the first K–12 school to earn the Presidential E–Award from the US Department of Commerce. Their university–preparation Intensive English Institute (IEI) curriculum prepares students for success at top colleges in the US and around the world.

International students from all around the world are welcome at the institution. In 1963, they accepted their first international student. They added the Intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum in the 1970s. They began accepting students into their homestay boarding program in the 1980s. The Fairfax Christian School is the best school in the Washington, D.C., area for international students. They accept F–1 visa students as well as students from Washington–based embassies and consulates, the IMF, World Bank, international organizations, and businesses with personnel in the Washington, D.C., area.

International students get fully integrated into their host university's student population. During the school day, the staff teaches English language classes (ESL), and all international students attend several classes that are not attended by local students.
