Idyllwild Arts Academy
Idyllwild Arts Academy provides chances that are not available at any other high school in the country. Young artists benefit from an ambitious curriculum that mixes demanding college-level academic coursework with intensive, specialized arts education on a forested 205-acre campus in sunny Southern California's breath-taking the San Jacinto Mountains, about two hours from Los Angeles. Classical Music, Jazz, Popular Songwriting, Voice, Visual Arts, Acting for Theatre, Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre, Dance, Film & Digital Media, Fashion Design, Interdisciplinary Arts, or Creative Writing are all options for students.
Arts classes are taught by a faculty of working professional artists who teach not just about the arts, but also about how to advance one's artistic career. Young artists who want to use their talents to bring about social change or address global issues are given special consideration.
