The Roskilde Rock Festival is the country's largest public event and one of Denmark's most popular events. It usually takes place in July, with all proceeds going to charity, so you don't feel bad about spending too much money. Roskilde is approximately 35 kilometers (20 miles) from Copenhagen, so anyone in the Danish capital may arrive in less than 30 minutes.
