FIMI X8 Mini

While we believe the DJI Tiny 2 (from the DJI product line) is the superior mini drone in general, this excellent FIMI X8 Mini is a much cheaper option, so if you cannot afford the DJI's price, then FIMI will be worth your consideration.

During our testing, we discovered that FMI X8 Mini could capture clear 4K video easily - but with a restricted dynamic range, due to the sensor's very tiny 1/2.6-inch size.

However, there are lots of other features to compensate for this minor drawback. For starters, although the accompanying software is a little bit rough, it is reliable and has a variety of automatic flying modes. Also, the FIMI X8 Mini can be charged conveniently through USB-C, and comes with an included controller that is more robustly constructed than other similar products. In case you want to connect the drone directly to your phone, a 5.8GHz Wi-Fi setting is also available.
