This Fortaleza do Monte, which is close to the St Pauls Ruins, has historical cannons, barracks, cisterns, and storehouses that were used in significant historical battles. This place, which is known as a military fort, attracts tourists, particularly history buffs. One side of this historic fort is now used as the Macau Meteorological Bureau's city office.

The stone Monte Fort, which dates back 400 years, is 100 by 100 meters in size. From the top, it provides a stunning view of the golden sunset. The Fort has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is regarded as one of Macau's most important historical sites.
