Frontier
Frontier is a historical period drama co-produced by Discovery Canada and Netflix that extensively pulls from the Western genre. It stars none other than our very own Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa, and chronicles the North American fur trade in the late 1700s in Canada. He portrays an Irish outlaw and part Cree working to break the Hudson Bay Company's monopoly on the corrupt fur trade. The program rates incredibly high on our list due to an enticing narrative and excellent performers.
The series was renewed for a second season in October 2016, before its premiere, on October 18, 2017. Frontier was renewed for a third season on September 20, 2017, ahead of the previous second season. The entirety of the third season premiered first on Netflix on November 23, 2018, and was broadcast in Canada between December 7 and 21, 2018.
