G-Dragon
Kwon Ji-yong (born August 18, 1988) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer regarded as the "King of K-pop." Kwon made his public debut in 2006 as the frontman of the South Korean boy band Big Bang, which went on to become one of the world's best-selling boy bands.
Heartbreaker, his debut solo album, and its title tune of the same name were commercially successful, becoming the best-selling album by a Korean soloist at the time and winning him Album of the Year at the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2010, G-Dragon released the album GD & TOP alongside Big Bang bandmate T.O.P.
G-Dragon was voted the most important person under 30 in Asia's entertainment and sports by Forbes in 2016. He is well renowned for his effect on youth culture, fashion trends, and music in South Korea. G-Dragon has written or co-authored 23 number-one singles on the Gaon Digital Chart (the equivalent of the Billboard Hot 100), the majority of which he also co-produced.
