Gangnam Blues
Gangnam Blues is a Korean action thriller. The film is set in the 1970s, against the backdrop of the real estate development of Seoul's Gangnam district, amid socio-political turmoil and terrorism. Two childhood friends' friendship is put to the test when they become entangled in the collusion and battles between political powers and criminal organizations.
Lee Min-ho and actor Kim Rae-won play homeless men and are hired by a gang to serve a political purpose. The film is about gangsters and how they are betrayed by their most trusted people. Thanks to this movie, Lee Min-ho was named Best New Actor at the 52nd Grand Bell Awards and Most Popular Actor at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards.
