Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale is a professional footballer who plays for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and the Wales national team. He was born on July 16, 1989 in Cardiff, Wales. He is considered a footballer with "great speed, great cross-country skills, a great left foot and a great physique".
Bale made his Welsh national team debut in May 2006, becoming the youngest player to represent Wales at the time. Since then, he has appeared in over 90 matches and has appeared in 36 appearances, becoming Wales' all-time top scorer. He was the top scorer for Wales in their successful qualifying campaign for UEFA Euro 2016, scoring seven goals; he subsequently represented Wales in the final tournament as they reached the semifinals, scoring three goals. He was also a finalist in the UEFA Men's Player of the Year Award, and was named man of the match, having scored with an overhead kick in the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final.
