Georgia-Pacific LLC is an Atlanta, Georgia-based pulp and paper corporation that is one of the world's major makers and distributors of tissue, pulp, paper, toilet and paper towel dispensers, packaging, construction goods, and associated chemicals.
Brawny, Quilted Northern, and Dixie are just a few of Georgia-based Pacific's well-known consumer brands. It is nonetheless a leading plywood maker and supplier of other building materials. Georgia-Pacific manufactures plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), gypsum products, and timber for residential and commercial construction at over 300 facilities throughout the world. It maintains 38 operations in the United States and Canada, making it one of the major wood product producers in North America.
The EPA gave Koch subsidiary Georgia-Pacific its SmartWay Excellence award in 2009, praising Georgia-Pacific for "an innovative collaboration between the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing air pollution."
