UPM-Kymmene Oyj
UPM-Kymmene Oyj is a corporation in the Finnish forest sector. In 1996, Kymmene Corporation merged with Repola Oy and its subsidiary, United Paper Mills Ltd., to establish UPM-Kymmene.
UPM produces renewable and sustainable goods and solutions in the paper and forest products business. UPM Biorefining, UPM Energy, UPM Raflatac, UPM Specialty Papers, UPM Communication Papers, and UPM Plywood are the company's six divisions. In its production sites in 12 countries across the world, UPM employs wood fibers, polymers, leftovers, and side streams to create renewable and sustainable goods. The WISA brand, which employs 2,400 people in eight plants across Europe, distributes the company's plywood and veneer goods.
The Verla mill, which has been a museum since 1972 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, is owned and maintained by UPM.
