Georgian Technical University

Georgian Technical University, established in 1922, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the city of Tbilisi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Georgian Technical University (GTU) is a major (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Georgian higher education school that has been officially accredited by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.


Georgian Technical University (GTU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in a variety of fields, including pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees.


This 98-year-old Georgian university has a selective admission procedure based on entrance exams. This Georgian higher education school is somewhat selective, with admission rates ranging from 70 to 80 percent. Students from all around the world are welcome to apply for admission. GTU also offers a library, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning possibilities, as well as administrative services to students.
