Google Bard

Google Bard has been in development for a while, but it was rushed out in February 2023 to compete with major AI player ChatGPT. Google Bard was initially offered in the UK and US in March 2023 to a select few who signed up for a waiting list, but it is currently available worldwide in 46 languages.

A Google Chrome extension that allows you to use Google Bard by typing questions directly into your search bar is also available.

Bard, like other chatbot AIs, is intended to be conversational. Users engage with it by typing a question or request into a text field, and the AI — in this case, Google Bard — will respond in a conversational tone.

Thanks to Google Bard's multimodal functionality in PaLM 2, you can also utilize photos in your prompts. In addition, you can have Bard answer your requests with graphics and videos. Thanks to an Adobe Firefly integration, the chatbot will eventually be able to generate entirely new AI graphics.

This feature was initially enhanced in Bard's first "Experiment updates" so that you have a greater number of Search possibilities based on your prompt if you want to investigate more. It was later improved in a significant Bard update in September.
