Grand Mosque of Bobo-Dioulasso
The Grand Mosque of Bobo-Dioulasso is a mosque in Bobo-Dioulasso, Houet Province, Hauts-Bassins Region, Burkina Faso. The creation of the mosque commenced in 1812 and finished in 1832. Since then, the mosque had passed through numerous preservation for growth and reparation. In 1983, a tin roof was built to cowl a part of the courtyard.
The mosque was made out of dust brick, projected wood beams, and horizontal beams. It includes minaret towers. The prayer corridor includes elements that had been built during a unique period. The older phase of the prayer corridor is positioned on the jap cease and includes seven transverse aisles. The more recent phase is positioned on the western side and is composed of greater transverse aisles.
