Grandmaster Recorders
Grandmasters Recorders is a tri-level space along Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood's emerging Vinyl District that serves as a former recording studio for artists like Stevie Wonder and David Bowie, as well as one of the best Italian restaurants in town and, as it turns out, a great option for al fresco rooftop cocktails. Before sipping on craft cocktails like Snakes and Ladders, choose between the glistening, disco-ball-backed 71 Studio Bar on the first floor, an enormous second level with high ceilings and climbing trees, or the aforementioned rooftop with a spectacular view of the Hollywood Hills (pisco, aperol, aquavit, raspberries, egg white, lemon, and bitters).
A different menu with Italian snacks, beverages on tap, and rooftop spritzes are available on the rooftop. Grandmasters has a collection of over 2,000 wine bottles on the premises, with a preference for Italian labels, and Wine Director Devon D'Arcangelo is always willing to provide a recommendation.
