Grant Hill

Grant Henry Hill (born October 5, 1972) is a co-owner and executive for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He went to Duke University and is largely regarded as one of the best players there. Hill played in the NBA for four clubs during his professional career, including the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Clippers, after four years of college basketball. He spent the majority of his career as a small forward. Hill also works for CBS and Turner Sports as a basketball analyst.


Hill was a four-year member of the Duke Blue Devils basketball team. He was the ACC Player of the Year in 1994, as well as a two-time NCAA All-American and NCAA champion. Hill was regarded as one of Duke's top players and one of the best collegiate basketball players of his generation. Hill was drafted third overall in the NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons after graduating from Duke in 1994. He was a joint recipient of the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 1995. Hill was widely regarded as one of the best all-around players in the NBA early in his career, frequently leading his team in points, rebounds, and assists.


Grant Hill announced his retirement from the NBA in June, 2013 but is still one of the richest basketball players with a net worth of $180 million.
