Kevin Garnett
Kevin Maurice Garnett (May 19, 1976) is a former professional basketball player in the United States who played 21 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Garnett, known as the "Big Ticket" for his thunderous dunking and athleticism, is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time, noted for his intensity, defensive abilities, and versatility. He is one of just five NBA players to have earned both the NBA MVP Award and the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award as of 2020.
In 2007–08, he was awarded NBA Defensive Player of the Year. In September 2016, he announced his retirement from professional basketball. Garnett was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in October 2021, recognizing him as one of the league's greatest players of all time. Garnett was selected to 15 NBA All-Star Games during his career, winning the All-Star MVP title in 2003. He was chosen to the NBA All-Defensive Team 12 times and the All-NBA Team nine times. Garnett boasts a number of Timberwolves franchise records as well.
