Great River
The Great River ( in Jamaica) is one of the Longest Rivers in Jamaica that separates the parish of St James from Westmoreland and Hanover. The Great River begins at around 1,400 feet (430 meters) in the northwestern corner of St Elizabeth, just north of the little hamlet of Pisgah. It runs north-northeast for roughly 57 miles (92 kilometers) (some sources indicate 46 miles (74 kilometers), reaching the Caribbean Sea at Great River Bay on the island's north coast, 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometers) west of Montego Bay.
