Grid Autosport is a racing video game that was created by Codemasters and is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Linux, iOS, macOS, Nintendo Switch, and Android. It's the third installment in the Grid series. Following the release of Grid 2, which Codemasters felt was not well received by the company's core audience, it intends to return the series to "more realistic racing games". As a result, the developers made significant changes to the handling model and created a streamlined, race-first design for this title.
The Career mode is separated into seasons, with the player having to pick between offers from the game's racing teams each time. The teams – including the best-in-class Ravenwest, making a comeback from Race Driver: Grid – each have various season objectives and sponsors objectives, the completion of which gives the players additional experience points (XP) in addition to those earned for their results. RaceNet is Codemasters' community platform where users can establish racing clubs, gain XP and cash as they compete and accomplish sponsor objectives, and then use their winnings to buy and improve vehicles. They were also provided with RaceNet Challenges, which were released by Codemasters shortly after the game's debut.
