Rocket League

The gameplay of the Rocket League is similar to that of its predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Players drive a rocket-powered car and use it to strike a considerably larger ball towards the opposing team's goal area to score goals in a style similar to indoor soccer with components evocative of a demolition derby. Players' automobiles have the ability to jump in mid-air and hit the ball.

Players can also gain speed bypassing their cars over marked spaces on the field, allowing them to quickly cross the field, use the extra momentum to hit the ball, or ram into another player's car to destroy it; in the latter case, the destroyed car respawns on their team's side of the field moments later. A player in the air may also employ a boost to accelerate themselves ahead in flight, allowing them to strike the ball in the air. Players may change the orientation of their car while in midair, which, when paired with midair boosting, allows for controlled flying. Players can also perform quick dodges, causing their car to do a short jump and spin in a given direction, which can be used to nudge the ball or gain a positioning advantage over the other team.
