Gulf International English School
Gulf International School (GIS) is a co-educational K-12 school founded in the city of Khobar in 2005. The student population ranges from 3 to 18 years old, and the school follows a British curriculum that has been continuously upgraded over the years.
GIS is the realization of the dreams of two visionaries, Munther Ahmed Al Ibrahim and Mohammad Arif Hussain, to establish a school that provides outstanding education in line with the needs of the twenty-first century. The school is associated with the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and is AdvancED NCA CASI recognized.
The curriculum's content is intended to promote development and learning in the following areas: cognitive, social and emotional, physical, linguistic, creative expression, and the disciplines of mathematics, science, and languages.
Indoor and outdoor activities such as organizing educational field trips, having a planting day, healthy eating week, fruit salad day, color day, sports day, talent hunt, library week, and so on help to enrich the curriculum.
There are separate places for each grade level to play games and sports. Four labs are completely equipped for hands-on study in chemistry, biology, and physics. The multi-purpose hall can accommodate everything from morning assemblies to PD workshops.
Gulf International School has two on-campus libraries as well as an e-library with hundreds of interesting titles for keen students. Thanks to well-organized underground parking, students board the school bus in a safe and well-monitored environment. No wonder it is one of the best international schools in Al Khobar.
