Little World International School
Little World International School, which opened its doors in 2011-12, is a fully licensed school with license numbers 520-4362 from the Ministry of Education in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. LWIS is a multicultural learning community in which students and faculty from other countries and cultures engage daily through engaging, fascinating, and successful learning activities.
The current student body represents 27 different nations. The LWIS Curriculum adheres to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English and Math, as well as the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Science.
Little World offers a school program for pupils aged 2.5 to 9 from Kindergarten to Grade 3. The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is used in kindergarten. The approach is entirely child-centered, and the curriculum is designed so that children of varying abilities can learn both as a group and individually.
The emphasis in Kindergarten is on the development of a positive self-concept, healthy socializing, and learning readiness abilities. The groundwork for a joyful and successful school experience has been laid. Fundamental skills are taught in a setting that is dynamic, stimulating, and tolerant.
The Elementary School curriculum is linked with Common Core State Standards, and grades are assigned using a standards-based system. The curriculum comprises basic courses taught in a homeroom setting, as well as Arts & Crafts, IT, and Physical Education. The core disciplines are English, Science, Social Studies, Math, and Arabic/Hindi/Urdu.
LWIS is housed in a large building on the corner of Khandaq and Ibn Majed Streets in Al Khobar's Golden Belt. The spacious classrooms have plenty of natural light and indoor and outside padded play areas. With contemporary fire extinguishing systems, emergency exits, and frequent fire drills, the building adheres to cutting-edge safety requirements.
Little World International School supports a teaching and learning strategy that incorporates information and technology literacy. Students can play in a safe and secure area that has been specifically created with young children's physical development in mind. The area has a range of outdoor play equipment that focuses on gross motor skills and sensory development.
