Happiness (2021)

Happiness is a South Korean television series created by Studio Dragon that stars Han Hyo-joo, Park Hyung-sik, and Jo Woo-jin. It's an apocalyptic thriller set in a world where contagious illnesses have become the norm. It debuted on tvN on November 5, 2021, and ran for 12 episodes every Friday and Saturday at 22:40. It is also accessible in select areas for streaming on Viki, Viu, Netflix, and iQIYI.

Happiness occurs in the near future when the introduction of a failed Covid-19 therapy medicine known as "Next" has produced a worldwide epidemic known as the Rita Virus, sometimes known as "crazy person illness". Those infected by Rita undergo brief moments of insanity and bloodlust before regressing totally into a zombie-like condition. The South Korean military and police are attempting to restrict the spread of Rita and Next by rigorous investigation and authoritative quarantine measures, but civil rights organizations object, claiming that the afflicted are still capable of regular human interaction.

Yoon Sae Bom is a special agent with fast wits and reflexes, as well as another unique trait. By pretending to marry high school classmate Jung Yi Hyun (Park Huyng-sik), she obtains the opportunity to move into a new apartment made aside for city officials in a prestigious apartment complex. Yi Hyun is a detective who is looking into the spread of an unknown sickness. When Han Tae Seok, the chief of the task force to halt the spread of the sickness, orders the complex to be walled off from the rest of the city, they are imprisoned.
