He had an armed standoff with the triad gang

Jackie Chan is extremely wealthy thanks to his fame in Hong Kong. His prominence and success finally brought him into interaction with the notorious Triad group in China. According to Time, Chan has claimed that over the years, the criminal group has repeatedly harassed him. In an interview, the Rush Hour and other movie stars sparked outrage when he said that triad members had bullied him and other actors and used threats of violence to extort money. The gang members even shot at him as he got off an aircraft.

More than 20 people surrounded him with melon knives when he returned to Hong Kong and ate outside. He said that he took a gun out, and he had two more hidden. Then he informed them that they had gone too far. Chan claimed he once attacked them with a gun and grenades prepared for a more explosive confrontation since he was sick of the fight. Chan was contacted by authorities after telling the story since weapons in Hong Kong are subject to severe criminal consequences. They decided not to pursue the matter further after Jackie Chan informed them that the incident occurred outside of the area.
