Headington School
At the turn of the 20th Century, few people’s minds were focused on the importance of giving girls an education. Headington's Christian founders, however, made an absolute commitment to this when they opened Headington School in 1915. Today, the School has a vibrant, international community with girls of all faiths and none. Respect for cultural and spiritual diversity is something this school takes very seriously while making sure to reflect Christianity.
In this school, values and ethos are at the heart of its community and inform and underpin everything it does. At Headington, teachers and presidents are committed to enabling every girl to flourish and thrive, whatever her background. Headington girls learn to think for themselves, developing both resilience and compassion as it fosters and promotes creativity and encourages them to be ambitious in their aspirations.
Therefore, your daughter will leave Headington with far more than just excellent academic results or a place at one of the world’s top universities but as an intellectually curious, emotionally confident, and socially responsible individual with a strong sense of self and a lifelong love of learning. The school also has a strong boarding community, with students from various nationalities and backgrounds.
