A multinational multi-level marketing (MLM) company called Herbalife Nutrition Ltd., or simply Herbalife, creates and markets dietary supplements. Mark R. Hughes established the business in 1980, and there are reportedly 9,900 workers employed by it globally. The company was founded in the Cayman Islands, although its main office is in Los Angeles, California. Via a network of around 4.5 million independent distributors and members, the company serves 95 different countries.

Upon John Agwunobi's resignation in October 2022, former CEO Michael O. Johnson was named chairman and acting chief executive officer. The business has come under fire for running a "sophisticated pyramid scam." In response to these allegations, Herbalife reached a 2016 settlement with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in which it agreed to "fundamentally restructure" its business in the US but not globally and pay a $200 million fine.

Herbalife's market capitalization as of March 2023 was $1.61 billion. By market cap, Herbalife is now the 3998th most valuable corporation in the world. The most recent financial reports for Herbalife indicate that the business's current revenue (TTM) is $5.20 billion. The company generated $5.80 billion in revenue in 2021, an increase from $5.54 billion in 2020.
