High Maintenance

High Maintenance is an American anthology comedy-drama television and online series developed by Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld, an ex-husband and wife combo. The program follows The Guy, a cannabis courier (played by Sinclair), as he delivers his goods to customers in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. Each episode focuses on a new character whose life intersects with that of The Guy. From November 2012 to April 2020, the whole series comprises six online episodes followed by four television seasons.

High Maintenance has received critical acclaim for its portrayals of boredom, loneliness, and the human condition. First season episodes "Meth(od)" and "Grandpa" both placed on numerous year-end lists in 2016, while second season episode "Globo" was ranked as one of the best episodes of 2018 by sources such as Time and Variety.

High Maintenance first aired as a web series on Vimeo on November 11, 2012, and then as an HBO television series on September 16, 2016. The second season of the program debuted on HBO on January 19, 2018, and the third season premiered on January 20, 2019. The sitcom was renewed by HBO for a fourth season, which will broadcast on February 7, 2020. The series' cancellation for a fifth season was announced on January 14, 2021.
