Hiking at Three Sisters
Travelers can see the Three Sisters, a group of three magnificent Alps mountain peaks, from practically anywhere in the city of Vaduz, Liechtenstein. On the one hand, Liechtenstein's capital, Vaduz, is located at the base of the mountain range. Austria can be reached by descending the mountain's opposite slope. Even for alpine Liechtenstein, the peak's height of 2053 meters above sea level is a record. Furthermore, it is unexpected to see a medieval castle from the IX century on the top of one of the peaks. You may also see the ruins of the stronghold that formerly housed Liechtenstein's monarch on the slope of the nearby hill.
In contrast to France or Switzerland, Liechtenstein receives a far smaller number of visitors throughout the summer. Being completely alone in nature and without any other people is a much greater experience and opportunity. Mountain fans who enjoy walking, hiking, and climbing will find the relief ideal. However, it is preferable to go on one of the chosen routes in a group. Even the comparable "Three Sisters" hiking trails are full of hazards and unpleasant surprises for amateur and experienced hikers.
