Hoyt House Inn
The Hoyt House Inn on Amelia Island is a 10-room bed and breakfast in a 110-year-old plantation-style home. Nestled in the Historic District of Fernandina Beach, the inn is close to the restaurants, boutiques, and antique shops that populate the seaside village. Each guest room has been decorated in unique 1900s decor.
Constructed on Atlantic Avenue in 1905 by builder John Mann, the house is modeled after the Rockefeller Cottage on Jekyll Island. Banker Fred W. Hoyt, his wife Kate, and their three boys, Charles, Willis, and Wadleigh, resided here until Mr. Hoyt’s death in 1927. The Everett Mizell family enjoyed a comfortable life in this grand home for the next half-century–and now it welcomes you to enjoy what they so loved. The elegant Amelia Island Inn at Hoyt House offers 10 spacious guest rooms, a swimming pool, a hot tub, public salons with original hand-tiled fireplaces, the English Pub, and a full liquor license to service all of your libations.
All rooms have individual heat and air conditioning control and private baths with both terry wraps and robes. Guests may choose from king-sized or queen-sized beds. Regardless of room choice, guests will enjoy complimentary bottled water, fresh-baked cookies, and toiletries by Gilchrist & Soames.
