Ilidža Folk Music Festival
Ilidža Folk Music Festival is the former Yugoslavia's oldest and most famous folk music festival. It takes place every year in Ilida, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Bosnian Association of Recording Artists founded the festival in 1964, which takes place in July and lasts four days. The event features contemporary and traditional artists in folk genres such as Sevdalinka, Starogradska, Modern Folk, Novokomponovana, Macedonian Folk, Turbo-folk, and accordion music.
The festival is organized with a modern and grandiose stage, as well as the participation of famous artists, to earn the title of a famous festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Not only that, but the Ilida Folk Music Festival has a significant impact when the artists who perform at the festival are signed to record labels. That alone demonstrates how large and famous the Ilida Folk Music Festival is not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also internationally.
