Stolačkatarča medieval festival

The medieval Stolačkatarča festival is the most historically themed local event in the country. It is a weekend festival in early May (May 10 and 11) in the town of Vidoški in the municipality of Stolac, located in the southern region of Herzegovina. The Stolačkatarča Medieval Festival is a showcase of rich Slavic, Illyrian and Roman traditions and tourist attractions.

As a famous festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it requires investment in form and scale. It is a festival that reenacts historical events in the medieval town, such as the medieval battles the city witnessed at the hands of the Bosnians and Ottomans. A mock trial, pictures of prisoners, an exhibit in a medieval dungeon, and carnival activities for children are also available. There will also be folk music performances and DJ summaries at the event.

These events alone demonstrate how the Medieval Stolakatara Festival was, not only in the country, but also a world famous festival.
