Iljimae (2008)

Iljimae is based on the well-known Chinese novel joy of the Unjust Family, which depicts the life of an Iljimae. It was a mythical bandit general wielding a scepter and specializing in robbing the wealthy and distributing it to the needy. Lee Jun Ki in Iljimae spent 8 hours a day learning martial arts and eating tofu for a long time in order to perfectly reproduce a tale. Lee Jun Ki and the film crew's contributions helped the film win five honors at the SBS Drama Awards that year.
