Inditex is a multinational clothing manufacturing company headquartered in the city of Arteixo, Spain. Inditex company was founded by billionaire Amancio Ortega, who opened the first Zara store in northern Spain in 1975.
Inditex is the world's largest fashion group with a system of 7,200 stores in 93 countries and territories. The group's main brands are Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, and Uterqüe. Most of Inditex's stores are directly owned by the group. In some countries that do not allow foreign ownership, stores are opened under a franchise.
Inditex company has a unique business strategy: instead of producing one product in large quantities, each season they launch a variety of limited-edition models, then adjust production based on customer feedback. As a result, Inditex stores have new products almost weekly. They don't need to worry if a product is unpopular, while best-selling items are easily updated.
