The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) is a Chinese international banking corporation. ICBC is a state-owned commercial bank that was founded in 1984 as a limited business. The bank's Tier 1 capital in 2013 was the greatest of one thousand worldwide banks, with capital given by the Chinese Ministry of Finance, making it the first bank based in China to earn this distinction in modern history.
