International American School of Warsaw
Established in 1989, the International American School (IAS) is one of the first IB schools in Warsaw. They provide education from kindergarten to grade 12, aiming to create a welcoming, multicultural, and prosperous environment.
IAS focuses on building a culture of respect, joy in learning, facing challenges, and working together in their community. The school aims to achieve excellent academic results for students while helping them become dynamic, considerate, and responsible global citizens. Accredited by respected organizations like the International Baccalaureate Organization, Cognia, and the Polish Ministry of Education, IAS ensures that its diploma program prepares students for admission to prestigious global universities.
Even though most IAS students come from different countries, some are Polish children looking for an international education and possible global careers. The school follows a wide-ranging curriculum based on Polish national guidelines, using effective teaching methods from various countries. This helps students smoothly adapt to different school systems, including Polish ones. Instruction is in English and Polish; students can also learn additional languages like German and French.
IAS emphasizes developing math, communication, and social skills, promoting tolerance and cooperation. IAS stands out as accredited by the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cognia, and the Polish Ministry of Education. IAS students can choose between the American High School Diploma and SAT, the IB Diploma Programme, or the Polish high school diploma.
