International School of Denver
Beginning in 1977, the International School of Denver (ISDenver) has grown from its small, yet passionate, beginnings to become the oldest, most unique international school in the entire Rocky Mountain region.
ISDenver uses the IB as a framework for delivering their curriculum in a language immersion setting - through their fully authorized Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ECE-Grade 5, and in their fully authorized Middle Years Programme in their Middle School (G6-G8).
The IB plays an integral part in fulfilling ISDenver’s mission, and in developing compassionate and curious global citizens. In a way, IB is the language all of their students speak.
Through the challenging, inquiry-based, student-centered, globally-minded framework of the International Baccalaureate, they develop well-rounded, critical thinkers and global citizens who think and see the world differently.
When visiting their school, you will be taken aback by their youngest students speaking fluently in both English and in one of their target languages - Spanish, French, and Chinese, which are all taught by native speakers.
As their students grow and become fluent, they gradually spend more time in English to prepare them for a successful academic career. You will see engaged learners who are active participants in their own learning.
