Bae Joo-hyun, the leader of the Korean girl group Red Velvet, is widely known as another hot and beautiful K-pop idol- Irene in 2022. She was born on March 29, 1991. She is a famous Korean singer, rapper and actress. She has been a member of Red Velvet's EPs and Stills albums since 2014, and she has gained huge popularity in K-pop not only in Korea but also around the world.

SM confirmed on April 20, 2020 that Irene and Seulgi would form the first unit of Red Velvet. Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi debuted in the play 'Monster' on July 6th. Also released was a short solo video of her called Episode 2: IRENE. She and her Seulgi also appeared in an additional version of the reality show Level Up Project! On July 16, 2020, SM confirmed that Irene would be filming the movie 'Double Cake', which was slated for release later that year, but was postponed to February 2021. She takes on the role of Lee Hyun-ji, an aspiring anchorman. Irene also released the OST for the movie 'White Night'.
